WHOAA, the genre-defying breakthrough duo, are still reeling from their live performance at Universal Studios Hollywood CityWalk, to close out the Summer Performance Series. Jointly, their music video for "Weekend Song" (Hey DJ) is currently featured in rotation on the 5 Towers Screen at Citywalk Hollywood. Furthermore, recently seen on MTV's Spankin' New with their nostalgic music video, "Saturday Fun," the duo are steadfast on ushering in their “Feel Good” brand of music, celebrating a multiverse of everything from: retro vibes, animatronics, gaming, DJs and their love for the weekend.
Hailing from Cincinnati, OH and Atlanta, GA respectively, female vocalist "Ring" and rapper "Dolla" collectively make up the group WHOAA (pronounced WHOAA!). Female vocalist Ashley Ring aka "Ring" is a fiery blonde, pop-rock diva edge, with a strong vocal edge balanced out with dashes of R&B vocal stylings, and the cuteness of 80s era Madonna. The other half, Dolla, is a genre-defying rap lyricist with a penchant for rapid fire delivery and melodic singing pop-funk stylings; with a charismatic personality that blends the outward fashion of Andre 3000, seamlessly weaving Hip-Hop and Pop.
Setting new personal milestones, such as, hitting over 1.1 million views on a single Tik Tok post, with their Five Nights at Freddy’s themed song, “Hey Freddy”, WHOAA continues to show new levels of growth organically. Cultivating an intimate artist-to-fan dynamic, their “WHOAAWAVERS”, are a diverse showing of demographics (everything from gamers, cosplayers to DJs and dancers). But it’s WHOAA’s distinctive sound of up-tempo dance music with a dynamic blend of Top 40/ Urban, that seems to unify a vast group of listeners, seeking “Feel Good” energy.
